Alright people, it’s that time of year again—time for BOOTS! (not the monkey, obviously, the shoe)  Fun fact about me; I LOVE SHOES!!  Especially boots (although I’m a sucker for a good heel)!  Anyways, seeing as how we had our first official ‘autumn-feeling’ day this week (the wind was just horrendous!) I’m breaking out the boots, baby, and I am SO READY!!  And who doesn’t love a chance to show off their fav styles?

First and foremost, I’m bringing out the combat boots (bottom row).  In high school, I had a pair of combat boots that I absolutely adored, so, incidentally, I ended up wearing a hole in one and had to get a new pair recently.  And even though nothing will compare to that first pair, my love for this particular style will be harder to diminish.  I feel like I should be on a haunted hayride at Connor Prairie (Indiana pride) in these shoes!  Worn out skinny jeans and an oversized sweater (and maybe even some warm spiced apple cider), and I look like autumn threw up on me (not really, but you get the picture)!

Next, these boots will take me thought all of fall and winter because they’re INSULATED (wow getting a little excited over insulated shoes…whoops).  Anyways, these knee highs (top row) are absolutely perfect with some cute tights and a skater skirt for when I need to be classy and comfortable (and absolutely perfect for work)!

Lastly, my favorite kind of boots are ankle boots!  Right now I have two black pair (middle row) and I absolutely adore them.  They’re so versatile; I can dress them up or down, make them edgy or sweet, whatever piques my interest!  I paired them with my favorite leather pants to show them off.  I love my ankle boots with a little heel too because, for some reason, walking in them makes me feel powerful and responsible (weirdly).  While this look is for October, these styles will still look good when winter comes and even after it goes.  I feel like this is just the beginning of what I like to refer to as ‘boot season’.  And this ‘look’ is just the way to kick off ‘boot season’!

As always, I’d love to get your feedback!  Leave a comment, tweet me, message me on Facebook or email me at  (All social media info is on my About page).  And tune in next week to get a tutorial on my favorite up-do hairstyle!
