I’m back again with another spaghetti –themed recipe to make normal pasta POP!  (That was somewhat cheesy, ignore that.)  Anyways, as you gathered from last week’s FOOD post, I love pad Thai!  It is one of my favorite Asian dishes; I’d actually go as far as to say it is one of my favorite pasta dishes.  But making pad Thai can be quite the adventure as it has a lot more ingredients than simply pasta and sauce.  So to compromise, my mom helped me find this incredible recipe for a delicious peanut sauce that you can put on your pasta to give it that pad Thai feel.

What you will need:

-6 tbsp. Olive Oil

-6 tbsp. Rice Wine Vinegar

-5 tbsp. Peanut Butter

-3 tbsp. Soy Sauce

-3 tbsp. Brown Sugar

-1/2 tsp. Ground Ginger

-1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder

What you will do:

006Just combine all above ingredients into a large mixing bowl and whisk together until everything is evenly combined.  You should end up with a creamy mixture that looks like the color of peanut butter.  And you’re done!  Quite simple, right?  All you have to do now is add it to your spaghetti…or any other kind of pasta you like…or you could put in on salad…whatever works best for you.  You can even garnish your creations with crushed peanuts, sautéed veggies, or fresh lime juice; it’s up to you.  Enjoy!
